This state-of-the-art engine incorporates a small electric motor with a 48 volt battery to help improve efficiency. The mild-hybrid system uses regenerative braking technology, charging the battery by making use of energy that is usually lost when the car slows down.

With the choice of 125 PS or 155 PS power outputs, this engine offers the type of performance that you would expect from a 1.5-litre unit, but with better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions - making EcoBoost Hybrid  kinder to the environment and cheaper to run.
